In his early work Nenad has been focused on modular design and building block construction. In addition, his work on urban research on urban strategies has been published in Think-Space publication and monograph. His approach to design thinking evolves around the immediate urban, technological and social analysis.
In the studio of the American architect, Frank O. Gehry Ned worked on competition designs and urban planning projects in Lisbon, Basel, Brooklyn and Milan and on the design execution of the Museum of Tolerance in Jerusalem.
In the firm of Perkins Eastman, he was a Senior Designer on the new TKTS booth in Times Square, the first complete glass structure in New York City. His contribution in detail design supported the execution of the pavilion’s complex construction. The building has received an AIA award.
In 2011 he has started teaching design and urban courses at Parsons School of Design. Previously, he has been a teaching guest at several universities: The Faculty of Architecture in Belgrade, Pratt Institute, The New School, and GSAPP, Columbia University.
His work has received two competition awards for urban design and development (Block 18th and Block 13th in New Belgrade). He is a recipient of the IF design award for the design of the MEH hospital in Riyadh, in 2019. Previously, his design work for the destroyed WTC received design mention in 2003 competition which was published by CNN
